Does the AI set my prices?
No. You set your service menu and prices once — the AI only recommends from your list and drafts a range. You approve every estimate before it's sent.
Photos hide swirls, pet hair, and stains. Where does the price come from?
From your service menu. The AI looks at the photos, recommends services from your list, and judges the vehicle's size and condition; the range is your own prices for those services, scaled for size and condition. It's a range rather than one number because photos can't show everything — the report lists things to verify on-site, and every estimate says the final price is confirmed on-site. You approve or edit every number before it's sent. New accounts can start from a starter menu of example US prices (adjusted for your state if you add it), so put in your own prices before your first real quote.
Do my customers need to download anything?
No. They get a link by text that opens in their browser — the estimate and an Accept button. Once they accept, you turn it into an invoice with one tap, and they pay it from a link the same way, by card or with a pay app.
Do you take a cut of my customers' payments?
No. Card payments run through your own Stripe account, and Fourth Bucket takes no cut. Your Stripe account's standard processing fees apply, and Stripe lists them at stripe.com/pricing. A customer paying your invoice link is an online card payment, which Stripe prices differently from an in-person card reader. Fourth Bucket makes money on the subscription, nothing else.
When do I actually get the money?
Card payments go into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays them out to your bank on your account's payout schedule. A new account's first payout usually takes longer, because Stripe holds it for a waiting period, and your Stripe dashboard shows the expected date of each payout. Your invoice can also carry Venmo, Cash App and PayPal buttons with the amount filled in, plus your Zelle details to copy; that money goes straight to your own account in that app, not through us. For cash, Zelle, Venmo or any other payment outside the card link, you mark the invoice paid yourself.
